Dorothy “Dottie” Hileman

Dorothy “Dottie” Hileman, 85, of Anna, died on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018, at her home. 

She was born Sept. 18, 1933, in East Prairie, Mo., the daughter of Guy and Verda Nunn Weeks. 

She married Donald “Jack” Hileman on July 5, 1962, at Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church in Anna. He preceded her in death on May 17, 2009.

She is survived by her son, Bart (Amy) Hileman of Jonesboro; three grandchildren, Dusty (Heather) Hileman of Anna, Amanda (Logan) Smith of Williamsburg, Va., and Jordan Palmer and fiancée, Allison; four great-grandchildren, Audrey, Gracie, Mallory and Kelly; other relatives and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Hileman; and one sister, Shirley Claunch.

She was a faithful member of the United Missionary Baptist Church in Lick Creek. She was retired from the Anna-Jonesboro National Bank after working over 20 years. Dottie was devoted to her family and her church. In her spare time she enjoyed reading.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Interment was in the Anna Cemetery. 

Memorials can be made to the United Missionary Baptist Church or to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
