Dorothy Hileman
Dorothy Hileman, 93, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, at Union County Nursing Home.
She was born on Oct. 25, 1928, the daughter of William Arthur and Bertha Spiller Harris.
She married the love of her life, Joseph Franklin Hileman, on Sept. 21, 1946, in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 2002.
Mrs. Hileman enjoyed shopping, taking road trips, reading and puzzles. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her grandchildren.
She was a secretary at Anna-Jonesboro Community High School for over 30 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Ware.
She is survived by her children, Gary (Debbie) Hileman of Grand Tower and Joey (Carla) Hileman; grandchildren Eric, Todd, Maddy and J.R. Hileman; a sister, Helen Dodd of Anna; a brother, Wayne Harris of Ware; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Franklin Hileman; her parents; and by sisters and brothers Ethel Crismer, Elsie Belcher, Nola Bryant, Earl Harris and Clarence Harris.
Funeral services were at noon Monday, Jan. 31, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with Bill Littrell officiating. Interment followed in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to Union County Long Term Care or to the United Methodist Church of Ware.
