Dorothy J. Filter

Dorothy J. Filter, 88, of Jonesboro, died Friday, March 31, 2023, at Manor Court in Carbondale. 

She was born on March 23, 1935, in Union County, the daughter of Walter C. and Dana E. Mallory Buster.

She is survived by a sister, Joan Miller of Jonesboro; two brothers, James W. Buster of Texas and Richard L. Buster of Colorado; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by two sons, Terry L. and Martin D. Filter; her parents, Walter and Dana Buster; a sister, Caroline Page; and two brothers, Claude Foster and Alfred T. Buster.

Early on, she worked as a waitress. Later she was a housekeeper and care giver. She loved flowers and gardening.

Funeral services for Dorothy Filter were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, at Rendleman &  Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with the Rev. Mike Cole officiating. Interment followed in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
