Dorothy A. Kacinski

Dorothy A. Kacinski, 74, of Buncombe, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, at her home. 

She was born on Feb. 4, 1948, in Streator, the daughter of James and Anne Churney Wilkinson. 

She married Larry Kacinski on May 17, 1969.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Kacinski of Buncombe; three children, Alan (Jennifer) Kacinski of Goreville, Lori (Bryan) Murphy of Palm Desert, Calif., and Michael (Colleen) Kacinski of Island Lake; grandchildren Emily, Allison, Jillian, Kirstyn, Kaitlyn and Jaidyn; three great-granddaughters; a brother, Richard (Diane) Wilkinson of The Villages, Fla.; other relatives and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Denny Wilkinson.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed camping and traveling. She was a member of the Cowgirls of the Shawnee and loved horseback riding. 

Funeral Mass for Dorothy Kacinski was held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Anna, with Father Uriel Salamanca officiating. Interment followed at Cedar Grove Cemetery. 

A Rosary service was held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
