Evelyn Faye Bridgeman

Evelyn Faye Bridgeman, 85, of Anna, died Thursday, March 9, 2023, at her home. 

She was born on June 24, 1937, in Anna, the daughter of George and Nellie Nimmo Childers. 

She married Roy Delano Bridgeman. He preceded her in death on May 23, 2014. 

She is survived by her children, Roger Bridgeman of Anna and Linda Hammond of Quincy; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; sisters Ann Landis and Reba Childers, both of Anna; many other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Delano Bridgeman; son Ross Wayne Bridgeman; daughter Lois Evelyn Brooks; and brothers Gene and Harry Childers. 

She loved spending time with all of her grandchildren. She enjoyed living in the country and could be found most days outside gardening and tending to her flowers. 

Graveside funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday, March 13, at the Anna City Cemetery, with the Rev. Doug Bridgeman officiating. Interment immediately followed.
