Frances Lentz
Frances Lentz, 89, of Kankakee, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2022, at her home.
She was born on Dec. 12, 1932, in Jonesboro, the daughter of Guy and Hulda Reischauer Bowen.
She married Noel Dean Lentz on Sept. 3, 1950. He preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 2011.
She was retired. She enjoyed traveling and doing yard work. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of American Lutheran Church in Bourbonnais.
Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Cindy and Paul DeGroot of St. Anne and Debbie Kramer of Nashville, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Andrew (Jessica) DeGroot, Adam (Jenny) DeGroot, Aaron (Avery) DeGroot, Alexandra Kramer and Jack Kramer; and four great-grandchildren, Lexi DeGroot, Levi DeGroot, Logan DeGroot and Marshall DeGroot.
In addition to her husband, Noel Lentz, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Raymond Bowen and Bill Bowen; and three sisters, Louise Dillow, Dorothy Kohler and Betty Ann Mowery.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 26, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Pastor Mark Hasty will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Anna Cemetery.
