Gail (Foster) Smith

Gail (Foster) Smith, age 65 of Tamms, Ill., passed away on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025 at Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was born on Oct. 20, 1960 to Allen Ray and Juanita P. (Warren) Foster in Cairo, Ill. In June of 1994, she married Kenneth E. Smith.

Gail worked in insurance her whole life and retired from Taylor, Dodd, and Wood, where she was a licensed Insurance Producer. 

She loved fishing and was a real Jack of All Trades when it came to household or vehicle repairs.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; her brother, Randy (Toni) Foster; and two nieces, Raelen Foster Rigdon and Erin Foster Aguila.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A Graveside Service was held on Friday, Nov. 14, with Rev. Mark Thrasher officiating at Olive Branch Cemetery in Olive Branch, Ill.. Interment followed the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to the Olive Branch Cemetery Association, PO Box 162, Olive Branch, IL 62969.
