Inge Lang

Inge Lang, age 79, of Urbandale, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at home with her daughter by her side.

She was born on March 25, 1947 to Wihelm and Olga Louise (Vitt) Gansen in Bingen, Germany. She married Glen L. Lang, Sr. in Germany.

She was a member of the former First Southern Baptist Church in Cairo and had worked as a Cook at Cairo High School.

Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Burton; four grandchildren, William Lang, Irene Lang, Joe Cashan, and Jamie Author; five great-grandchildren, Maddison, Parker, Jayden, Willow, and Carter; one sister-in-law, Dee Dee (Francis) Pettit; one nephew, David Francis (Gina) Pettit; and one niece, Cathy (George) Monan.

Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon McCoy; and son, Glen L. Lang, Jr.

Private Services were held with Burial at the Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City, Ill.

Crain Funeral Home in Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
