Jackie "Jack" Leon Reynolds

Jackie Leon Reynolds, 87, of Reynoldsville, died Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, at his home. 

He was born on Jan. 19, 1933, in Reynoldsville, the son of John and Viola Meisenheimer Reynolds. 

He married the love of his life, Dolores Foster, on Sept. 8, 1951, in Wolf Lake.

Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife, Dolores Reynolds of Reynoldsville; children Rodney (Vicki) Reynolds of Wolf Lake, Jackie (Jay) Jennings of Reynoldsville and Greg (Amy) Reynolds of Reynoldsville; grandchildren Adam (Marissa) Reynolds, Sara (Joey) Choate, Lara Reynolds, Jonathan (Betsy) Oxford, Justin Wilson, Joseph Kelley, Jessie (Andrew) Livesay and Valley Reynolds; 15 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Cynthia Gay; three brothers; and two sisters.

Mr. Reynolds retired in 1996 from ABF Freight Lines. During his time there, he drove 1 million miles without an accident and received an award. 

After retiring, he worked for Randy Myers Farms driving a truck until last year. 

For many years, he was sure to always attend his grandchildren’s many sporting events at Shawnee, Anna and Cobden schools.

Funeral services were at noon Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Interment was in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
