James Calvin Wright
James Calvin Wright, 67, of McClure, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024, in Jonesboro.
He was born on March 11, 1957, in Anna, the son of William and Grace Trexler Wright.
He married Elizabeth Lane on Sept. 3, 1975, in Jackson, Mo.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Wright of McClure; children James Albert Wright of Texas and Joshua Noah (Kim) Wright of Jonesboro; grandchildren Paige Haymaker, Brian Haymaker, James A. Wright Jr., Jacob Wright and Natalie Wright; great-grandchildren Christopher, Silas, Kathryn, Liam and Maddie; siblings Ralph, Everett, Robert and Elizabeth; a sister-in-law, Kathy; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Christie Tilley; and two brothers, Clarence and Wayne.
He was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He brought sunshine everywhere he went. He was a hard worker and good provider.
Graveside funeral services for James Wright were at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19, at the Alto Pass Cemetery, with the Rev. Randy Morgan officiating. Interment followed.
