James Michael ‘Mike’ Cook

James Michael “Mike” Cook, 74, of Anna, died Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at his home. 

He was born on Aug. 6, 1948, in Anna, the son of Lawrence W. and Jewell J. Noble Cook.

Mr. Cook is survived by his daughter, Michaela (Josh) Ames; a grandson, Walker James Ames; two brothers, Larry and Roger Cook; good friends Jeff and Kim Hickam and Mike Broadway; nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Betty Allen and Wilma Lacy.

He served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

There will be no services held at this time. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Mound City National Cemetery.
