Jane E. Baggott

Jane E. Baggott, age 80, of Anna, formerly of Cobden, passed away on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026 at Deaconess Illinois Union County Hospital.

She was born on Nov. 12, 1945 in Union County, Ill. 

On Dec. 8, 1961, she married Donald Baggott and together they spent over 57 years.

Jane’s passion was for antique collecting and collectibles and was a dealer and collector of many items. 

Among many things, her family and friends will remember her for being a great cook, having big dinners, and her love to bake Christmas cookies to share with others.

Survivors include her four children, Julie (Michael) Kelley, Jake (Jenni) Baggott, Dan (Donna) Baggott, and Sara (John) Nimmo; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A Private Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City, Ill.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to the Anna VFW Funeral Ritual Team.

The cremation of Jane E. Baggott will be personally handled by the staff of Crain Funeral Home.
