Jerald E. Womick
Jerald E. Womick, 86, of Loveland, Ohio, and formerly of Anna, died early Thursday morning, Jan. 28, 2021, at Hospice of Cincinnati, Ohio.
He was the husband of Nancy R. Womick, whom he met in high school in Anna. They shared 60 years of marriage together.
He was born in Frankfort, Ky., in 1934, the son of Frank and Lucille Womick, most notably from Anna and Jonesboro.
He graduated from Anna-Jonesboro Community High School and from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida with an A&E license.
He was a life-long aviator as a flight engineer, private pilot and Federal Aviation Administration senior inspector.
He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Huber Heights, Ohio, the First Baptist Church in Johnstown, Ohio, and most recently the First Baptist Church of Milford, Ohio.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew him.
He enjoyed spending time with his immediate family and his church family.
He is survived by his sons, Richard B. Womick and Michael B. Womick; sisters Shirley Barringer and Judy Roth; grandchildren Joshua Womick, Jessica Womick, Kayla Smith, Joseph Womick, Abby Womick, Mitchell Womick, Jonah Womick; and great-grandson Thomas Archer Womick.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy.
Funeral services were at noon Tuesday, Feb. 2, at the First Baptist Church of Milford in Milford, Ohio. Interment was in Graceland Memorial Gardens in Milford, Ohio.
