Jerry Hornback

Jerry Hornback, 87, of Cobden, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022, at his residence.

He was born on Nov. 15, 1934, in Sikeston, Mo., the son of Sidney Frances and Virginia Lynch Hornback.

He married Joan Cornue on July 31, 1965. She preceded him in death on Aug. 7, 2005. 

Mr. Hornback served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and was a great handyman.

Survivors include his daughters, Cheryl (John) Kasper of Fort Worth, Texas, Donna Sorensen of Humbolt, Tenn., Pam Glover Groh of Cobden, Kim (Pat) Labott of Buffalo Grove, Sheryl Scott of Galloway, N.J., Betty (Rod)  Sorensen of Kansas City, Mo., and Laurie Yates of Cobden; sons Jerry (Rhonda) Hornback of Flippin, Ark., and Ron (Dawn) Hornback of McHenry; grandchildren Mike (Anna) Kasper, Mark (Ali) LaBott, Brian (Cortney) Glover, David Groh, Kerry Perez, Nicole Franklin, Jim (Stephanie) Ford, Gina (Robby) Davis, Joshua Hornback, Justin Hornback, Felicia Hornback, Lauren Hornback and Jocelyn Hornback; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters Shirley Birk, Betty Edwards and Rita (Wayne) Wright; a brother, Wayne (Penny) Hornback; and several other relatives and friends.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Patsy Poucher; and five brothers, Gary, Harry, Joe, Rex and Marty Hornback, 

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, March 5, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro.

Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro is in charge of arrangements.
