Joan Angel

Joan Angel, age 88 of Oregon, Ill., formerly of Tamms, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2025 at Oregon Living and Rehab in Oregon, Ill.

She was born on Feb. 2, 1938 to Gerald and Ruby (Dillman) Wilkerson in Chicago, Ill.

She was a Homemaker for her family and a member of Cross Road Church in Ullin.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Betty Angel; five grandchildren, Ryan, Kevin, Jenny, Lori, and Brenda; many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews including caregivers, Greg Wilkerson and Susan Wilkerson.

Along with her parents and husband, Kenneth Angel, she is preceded in death by her two sons, Jeff Angel and Rob Angel; two brothers, Jerry Wilkerson and Don Wilkerson; a grandson, Jeff; and one great-granddaughter.

A Graveside Service was held on Monday, March 23, 2026 at McCrite Cemetery in Tamms, Ill.

Crain Funeral Home in Tamms is in charge of arrangements.
