Kathryn Martin Neely

Kathryn Martin Neely, age 92, of Anna, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026 at Deaconess Illinois Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.

She was born on July 7, 1933 to Max Martin and Cassie Girtman in St. Louis, Mo.

Kathryn was a graduate of Anna Jonesboro Community High School. 

Kathryn and Bob owned and managed the Rodgers Theatre and the Anna Drive-In for years. Later, she retired from Kroger in Anna. 

She loved meeting with her friends for coffee and lunch and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Kathryn was a member of the Anna Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Tina (Mike) Otten, Neely Otten, Silas Toler Matt Otten, Jace Lee, and Teaghen Lee.

Along with her parents and husband, Robert “Bob” Neely, she is preceded in death by her lifelong friends Ruby Boswell and Dorothy Cook.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at Anna City Cemetery in Anna, Illinois.

Crain Funeral Home in Anna, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
