Kimberly (Kim) Jackson
Kimberly (Kim) Jackson, 45, of Jerseyville, and formerly of Dongola, died at 9:01 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, at Saint Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born on Oct. 31, 1974, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Jane Tripp Nimmo and Gary Jackson.
She grew up in Dongola and Godfrey. She received her associate’s degree from Lewis and Clark Community College.
She was a free spirit and was a kind and loving person. Her greatest joy was taking care of her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
Survivors include her mother, Jane (Gary) Nimmo of Godfrey; her father, Gary (Linda) Jackson of Jonesboro; a brother, Ken (Jennifer) Jackson of Bethalto; a sister, Cindy (Craig) Billings of Godfrey; stepsisters Jennifer Leslie (Steve) Huber of Wood River, Jen Nimmo of Carlinville, Susan (Jeff) Metford of Godfrey, Debi (Mike) Jones Barnett of Lake of Egypt and Amy (Jonathan) Jones Schott of St. Louis; nieces Megan Jackson, Libby (Jeff) Spicer and their three children, Kayden, Kailey and Korbin; nephews Cort Jackson and Hunter Billings, Andrew Watts, Seth, Joel and Noah Mefford, Ali (Zack) Meyers and their children Elleyana, Aaliyah and Luna, Alexis (Dalton) Allen and their children, Adaline and Silas; uncles Roger Jackson of Anna, Ronal (Linda) Jackson of Karbers Ridge; aunts Doris (Wayne) Whiteside of Dongola and Pam (Jeff) Gee of Carterville, other nieces, nephews and many friends.
She will live on in spirit through the many people she helped as an organ donor.
A private celebration of life service for family and friends will be held Nov. 23 in Godfrey. Memorials can be made to Mid-America Transplant in St. Louis.
