Larry Bruce

Larry Bruce, 85, of Mounds, died at 11:12 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2021, at Integrity Healthcare of Anna.

Mr. Bruce was born on Sept. 26, 1935, in Mounds, the son of Clyde and Eula Mae Baker Bruce.

He was a veteran who served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 36 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.

Survivors include his sister, Linda Sue (Tommy) Miller of East Alton; close friend Cindy (Eddie) Dover of Grand Chain; other relatives and friends.

Graveside funeral services were at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, at the Mound City National Cemetery. Interment followed, with full military honors accorded by the U.S. Marine Corps burial team and area veterans.

Jones Funeral Home Villa Ridge was in charge of arrangements.
