Lennie G. “Jerry” Hines

Lennie G. “Jerry” Hines, 83, of Kansas City, Mo. passed away Saturday, Feb. 22. 

He was born Nov. 7, 1941, to the late Loren and Olive Boyer Hines. 

Jerry was a simple hardworking man who loved his family very much. 

Jerry graduated from Anna-Jonesboro Community High School in 1961. He then went on to graduate from Danville Community College. 

He was an Airforce veteran and met his wife in Omaha, Neb. where he was stationed. 

Jerry was an electrician and retired from GSA in Kansas City. 

Jerry enjoyed tracing his family tree. He had a website (The AJ Connection) with information on area schools. He kept in touch with friends, and helped organize reunions. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Olive Hines, a brother Bobby Joe Hines, sisters-in-law’s Linda Hines and Nancy Stark, and brother-in-law, Danny Stark and his wife Janice Leath Stark.  

Jerry is survived by, his wife of 60 years, Diane J. Stark Hines, daughter, Stephanie E. Hines, grandson Brendan Y. Gailliaert, of Kansas City, Mo. Siblings; John R. Hines, Debby Hines Kent (Ron), James A. Hines. Sister-in-law, C. Dianne Mayberry Hines, all from Anna/Jonesboro. As well as, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Jerry will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
