Leta Mae Dirden
Leta Mae Dirden, 84, of Anna, died on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, at her daughter’s home in Elkville.
She was born on March 27, 1934, in Anna, the daughter of Homer and Ollie Luvinia Winn Brown.
She married Billy Wayne Dirden on Sept. 30, 1950, in Anna. He preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1997.
She is survived by her six children, Billie Mae Clover of Anna, Katherine (Steve) Allen of Marissa, Cindy Moreland of Anna, Lisa (Nathan) Barnes-Atterberry of Elkville, Laura (Larry) Lang of Jonesboro, and Lewis (Michelle) Dirden of Anna; 19 grandchildren, Tonya Lynn Patterson, Jennifer Clover, Christopher Clover, Steven (Cheryl) Allen II, Jeremiah (Christina) Allen, Keith (Laura) Meier, Anthony Meier, Ashley Burgess, Rebecca Barnes-Atterberry, Rachelle Barnes-Atterberry, Hannah Marie Barnes-Atterberry, Angel and Joshua Clover, Cecil Randall (Candice), Jacob and Samantha Humphrey, Katherine (Xack) Persinger, Anderson Dean and Leah Rose Dirden; 26 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Wayne Dirden; one sister, Opal Virginia Smith; one brother, Louis L. Brown; and one grandchild.
She was a member of the Lockard Chapel Baptist Church near Jonesboro for many years.
Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with Pastor Scott Sloan officiating. Interment was in the McGinnis Cemetery.
