Linda Eve Semler
Linda Eve Semler, 76, of Hendersonville, Tenn., and formerly of Brentwood, Tenn, died Monday, April 24, 2023, at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tenn.
She was born on Aug. 12, 1946, in Chicago, the daughter of Clifton William “Red” and Nellie Treece Davis.
She married Lloyd Ronald Semler in June of 1983.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Semler of Hendersonville, Tenn.; daughter Scottie (Chris) Hughes of Hendersonville, Tenn.; stepson Scott Lehigh; two grandchildren, Houston Lloyd Hughes and Alexandria Lynn Hughes; cousin, Larry (Cathy) Haley of Anna; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Clifton William Davis Pelc.
After graduating from Southern Illinois University, she went on to become one of the first female polygraph examiner, and taught courses to others learning the trade. She worked for various agencies throughout her career.
She was devoted to her Lord and Savior, she loved teaching and sharing her love for the Lord with others. For the last 15 years she has had her Kitchen Table Ministries, where she led Bible studies.
She was very proud of her book publication, “For This Purpose,” that she shared with everyone.
Graveside funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, April 28, at Casper Cemetery near Anna. Interment immediately followed.
