Linda Sue McGee

Linda Sue McGee, 79, of Cobden, died Monday, June 14, 2021, at her home. 

She was born on Jan. 26, 1942, in Grand Tower, the daughter of James Hannibal and Alice Addie Hatley Aldridge.          

She enjoyed reading, gardening and fishing. She was an amazing cook and baker. She worked and retired from the accounting department of GTE.

She is survived by her partner, Louis “Jerry” Basler of Cobden; children Monte Bridges of Cobden, Dwyane Bridges, Jacquelyn Wray of Mechanicsville, Va., Michael Bridges of Cobden and Allison Beach of Rock Port, Texas; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Juanita Land of Jonesboro; brothers Jim Aldridge of Anderson, S.C., and Robert Aldridge of St. Charles, Mo. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and a brother.
