Lorene Jenkins

Lorene Jenkins, 95, of Anna, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, at Union County Hospital Long Term Care in Anna. 

She was born on June 24, 1923, in Anna, the daughter of Tullie and Beulah Lamkin Dillow. 

She married Vernon Jenkins on Dec. 23, 1962. He preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 1966. 

She is survived by many nephews and nieces; other family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon Jenkins; and six sisters, Maude Vidal, Esther Thorene, Lillian Edgar, Virginia Warnell, Isabel Lence and Imogene Kneip. 

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Anna. She worked at  the Florsheim Shoe Factory in Anna until her retirement. She dearly loved spending time with her family.

Graveside funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at the Anna Cemetery, with Bill Littrell officiating. Interment was in the Anna Cemetery.
