Lou Ann Hartline
Lou Ann Hartline, age 90 of Cobden, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Deaconess Union County Hospital in Anna.
She was born at home March 13, 1935 in Cobden, the daughter of Floyd and Maurine (Wallace) Shadowens.
Lou Ann is survived by two sons, Steve (Lisa) Hartline of Anna and Danny (Charlotte) Hartline of Cobden; grandchildren, Beau (Holly), Danielle (Joe), and Matthew (Carrie) Hartline, Alaina (Cale) Jausel, Jenna, Conner, and Colbey Hartline; great-grandchildren, Aiden Bass, Drake, Lillie, Judah, and Moses Hartline; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, David Hartline.
Lou Ann was a longtime member of The First Baptist Church of Cobden. She loved the Lord.
Lou Ann was a trust fund and credit union clerk at Choate Mental Health and Development Center for 35 years. For many years, she was the treasurer and telephone operator for the Village of Cobden.
Lou Ann was a devoted, lifelong Appleknocker. She was so proud to be President of the Cobden Women’s Club.
She loved racquetball, solving crossword puzzles, and watching tennis and Westerns. She especially loved spending time with her grandkids.
Funeral services were on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025 at The First Baptist Church of Cobden with Dr. Ed Falgout and Dr. Matthew Hartline officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to The First Baptist Church of Cobden. Envelopes will be available at the church and Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home.
