Lynn Eudy

Lynn Eudy, 84, of Jonesboro, died Monday, March 21, 2022, at Jonesboro Rehab.

Mr. Eudy was born on Dec. 10, 1937, in Reynoldsville, the son of Clovis Pearl and Virgie Jewell Cain Eudy.

He married Janelle Cooley on Dec. 2, 1959, and she survives.

He grew up working as a farmer. He joined the U.S. Army after graduating from high school, and served in the Army from 1956 to 1958. 

For over 30 years, Mr. Eudy enjoyed helping to run the Union County Fair. He worked in the community until his retirement. 

He loved being a grandpa, and spent his time after retirement helping to raise his grandchildren. He enjoyed attending local sporting events for decades. 

He was baptized at a young age and a believer of Christ throughout his entire life. 

Besides his wife, Janelle, he is survived by his two sons, Gregory Lynn Eudy and Michael and Gwen Eudy, both of Jonesboro; five grandchildren, Madelynn Eudy of Cape Girardeau, Lindyn Eudy, Marin Eudy, Ridley Eudy and Seren Eudy, all of Jonesboro; a great-grandchild, Silas Eudy of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Lyman Eudy; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Eudy was preceded in death by his parents and by two sisters, Ella Carlton and Janice Rhodes.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, March 28, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro, with Bill Littrell officiating. Interment was in the Jonesboro Cemetery, with military honors accorded. 

Memorials can be made to the Union County Fair Association. 

Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro was in charge of arrangements.
