Marion Linton-Parmly

Marion Linton-Parmly, 76, of O’Fallon, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon. 

She was born on Aug. 12, 1945, in Anna, the daughter of Jesse and Grace Walker Johns. 

She is survived by her children, Jesse (Jackie) Jennings, Angela Jennings, Charlotte (Yazeed) Abuhuzaimah and Theresa (Jason) Hunt; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; her siblings, Jesse (Kim) Johns, Linda (Gary) Faire, Lonnie (Linda) Johns, Stella (Rodney) Plott, Pam Johns, Patsy Evans and Sheila (Ed) Plott; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and by three brothers, Raymond, Ralph and Mark Johns.

She loved her church and listening to gospel music. She was a member of Calvary Church in O’Fallon. 

She had many hobbies and interests. She loved to paint, knit, crochet, read, fish and go shopping. She loved purses. 

Funeral services for Marion Linton-Parmly were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Danny Jones and Pastor Chad Townsley officiating. Interment followed in the Alto Pass Cemetery.

To honor her wishes, those who attended were asked to wear bright, cheerful colors as they gathered to celebrate her life.
