Mark Gean Hubbs

Mark Gean Hubbs, 62, of West Lafayette, Ind., died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, at his home.  

He was born on Nov. 20, 1962, in Joliet. He was the son of Jennings Clifton “JC” and Jammie Jeannette Harris Hubbs.  

He married Misty Jackson on Feb. 3, 1998.

He is survived by his wife, Misty Hubbs of West Lafayette, Ind.; children Mark Ryan Hubbs of West Lafayette, Ind., Rebecca Mackenzie (Eric) Resendez of Ambia, Ind., and Sarah Schanz-Bortman of New Jersey; grandchildren Elliott Ahern of New Jersey and Eric Resendez Jr. of Ambia, Ind.; siblings Sharri Wood (David) and Sharon (James) Redcloud; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Hank William Hubbs.  

He loved meeting new people and never met a stranger. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and loved spending time with his family.  He was very proud to be called grandpa. They were his pride and joy.

Funeral services for Mark Hubbs were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with Pastor Alex Jackson officiating. Interment followed in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
