Martha Sue Clover
Martha Sue Clover, 61, of Anna, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, at 6:38 a.m. at her home in Anna, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born on Dec. 6, 1960, in Anna, the daughter of Carl “Frog” and Opal (Hinkle) Brimm.
She married the love of her life, Kevin Clover, on Jan. 17, 1987.
She was a graduate of Anna-Jonesboro Community High School in the class of 1979. She started working at age 17 for the late Robert “Bob” and Patricia Chamness at City Care Center of Anna.
When the Chamness family opened Chamness Care, she continued working for them in many areas. Until recently, she was still actively working for Chamness Care as their chief financial officer.
She enjoyed spending time with the clients and employees who became family. She loved spending time with family and friends, camping with Kevin, working on her crafts, canning, cooking and she loved attending church. She became a member of United Missionary Baptist Church in 1990 and has attended there since.
Survivors include her mother, Opal Brimm of Anna; her husband, Kevin of Anna; a daughter, Megan (Clayton) McClellan of Pulaski; a sister, Mary (Greg) Plott of Anna; a nephew, Kevin (Stacey) Plott of Thebes; a niece, Amy (Eric) Jerrell of Anna; great-nephews Tyler and Kyle Jerrell of Anna and Brandon Plott of Thebes; a great-niece, Breanna Plott of Thebes; sisters-in-law, Sandy (Jim) Carter of Anna, Rhonda Ballard of Coleman, Texas, and Rebecca Clover of Decatur; brothers-in-law Steve (Debbie) Clover of Alto Pass and Tim (Dina) Clover of Cobden; many other nieces and nephews; other family and a multitude of friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father; brother-in-law Danny Clover; niece Sarah Carter; niece; Penny Amos; and a nephew, Daniel Ray Clover.
Funeral services for Martha Sue Clover were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at United Missionary Baptist Church in Lick Creek, with the Rev. Paul Sadler, the Rev. Ken Wilson and the Rev. Lonnie Lewis officiating. Interment followed in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery.
