Mary Pamela Gilmore Regulus

Mary Pamela Gilmore Regulus, 77, of St. Louis, Mo., passed away peacefully on June 16, 2022. 

Pam was born on March 31, 1945, in Anna, the daughter of Charles and Nellie Gilmore.

Pam was preceded in death by her late husband, Thomas Regulus. They shared many joyous years of marriage together. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James Gilmore; a sister, Susan Diesbach; a sister, Gloria Groves; a brother, John Gilmore; and a nephew, James Gilmore. 

She is survived by her daughters, Tanya Bhagwat of Huntingdon Valley, Pa., and Sarah Bhagwat of New York City; several nieces and nephews; and dear friend and caregiver, Denise Hegel. 

Pam graduated from Southern Illinois University with a BA in social work and with a master’s in social work from the University of South Carolina. 

Prior to retirement and relocating to St. Louis, she worked as regional director for the Texas Youth Commission. 

Pam enjoyed the finer things in life: art, fashion, travel, the opera and the ballet. Pam was a wonderful homemaker and a gourmet cook. She led a colorful life filled with love for those close to her. She will be dearly remembered for her wit, kindness and generosity. 

No formal arrangements are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Regulus & Gilmore Social Work Student Award at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
