Melony Kay Beasley Dalby

Melony Kay Beasley Dalby, 47, of Cobden, and formerly of Benton, died at 6:31 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

She was born on Dec. 8, 1970, in Benton, the daughter of Michael Kent and Suella Smith Beasley.  

She married Robert Dalby on July 25, 2011.

She attended Benton Christian School and Benton High School and graduated in 1989. She then enrolled in the Rend Lake College Nursing Program and graduated as a registered nurse.  

She loved animals, was a best friend to many and was passionate about her career. As a nurse she touched many lives.  She was incredibly inspiring and became a mother to so many.  She changed the lives of everyone she encountered.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Dalby; daughters Katlyn, Faith, Peyton and Hannah; a grandson, Julian Connors; her mother, Suella Beasley; a brother, David Brown; grandmother Joan Beasley; cousins Shannon Appleton and Darby Beasley-Piatek; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Kent Beasley; grandfather Donald Keith Beasley; grandparents, Charles and Norma Smith.

Memorial services for Melony Kay Dalby were at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro, with remembrances by family and friends.  

Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
