Patricia (Diggs) Lamburth

Patricia (Diggs) Lamburth, age 82, of Cape Girardeau, Formerly of Tamms and Cairo, Ill., passed away on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025 at the Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on Jan. 23, 1943 to James Floyd and Josephine Marie (Shelton) Diggs in Cairo, Ill. On Aug. 22, 1969, she married Larry Joe Lamburth.

Patricia was a graduate of the class of 1961 at Cairo High School where she was Valedictorian. 

She was a active member of the Tigert Memorial Church in Cairo for many years. 

Patricia had worked for Bell Telephone and then Brule Products, and finally worked for 37 years at ServiceMaster where she retired as a fleet manager for three locations.

Survivors include her son, Bryan (Rebecca) Lamburth, two grandchildren, Jamie Lamburth and Ashley (Justin) Williamson; several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Ann Diggs; along with nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Along with her parents and her husband, Larry Joe Lamburth, she is preceded in death by two sons, Craig Lamburth and Brent Lamburth; two sisters, Mary Lou Moreland and Bonnie Jones; and one brother, James Floyd Diggs, Jr. who was killed in the Korean War.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 11 at 4 p.m. with Rev. Doug Atkins officiating at Crain Funeral Home in Cairo. 

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge, Ill.

The family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to Tigert Memorial Church in Cairo.
