Paul Dunkin

Paul Dunkin, 77, of rural Makanda, died at 8:23 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2017, at his daughter’s home.

He was born on Feb. 16, 1940, in Shirley, Ark., the son of Malachi and Mary M. Tremel Dunkin.

He married Kathleen Pearl Vines on June 23, 1963, in Anna. She preceded him in death on April 5, 2016.

He is survived by his children, David Wayne Dunkin of Goodman, Mo., Denise Schuetz of Makanda, Paul Warren Dunkin of Bolivar, Mo., and Rodney Eugene Dunkin of Seneca, Mo.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Linda Treece and Ellen Brunell, both of Anna.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Kathleen Dunkin; and by four sisters, Sherry Sweet, Imogene Clutts, Bonnie Shipley and Betty Jackson.

Private family services for Mr. Dunkin were being held.
