Peggy Ann Johnson

Peggy Ann Johnson, 89, of Anna, died Monday, March 13, 2023, at Union County Hospital in Anna. 

She was born on Sept. 25, 1933, in Vienna, the daughter of Raymond and Nellie Cates Murphy. 

She married Harry Johnson on Sept. 2, 1952. He preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 2018.

She is survived by her daughters, Denise (Larry) Willis of Buncombe and Kelly (Gene) Murphy of Cape Girardeau; her grandchildren, Heather Wright (Todd Brown), Kyle Willis and Jared Johnson; great-granddaughter Aleshia Wright; nephew Mick (Mary Jo) Demming; and a niece, Sharon Kay Mosko. 

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a sister, Juanita Demming.

She loved shopping and traveling. She loved and enjoyed her family and her friends at The Voyage.

A memorial visitation for Peggy Johnson will take place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. 

Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
