Rev. Glenn E. Fox

Rev. Glenn E. Fox, 73, of Dongola, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021, at his residence.

He was born on May 6, 1948, in Dongola, the son of Ralph and Zelma Reeves Fox. He was the third born of eight children. 

He graduated from Dongola High School in 1966. His class was the last to graduate from the old high school. 

After graduating, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he learned medical skills that aided him in becoming an EMT. 

Many years later, he earned his cosmetology license from Shawnee Community College, and started a career that lasted over 38 years. For 20 of those years, he was the owner and operator of Reflections Salon in Marion. During this time, he also became an ordained minister. After closing the doors, he spent his last few years working at HQ in Marion.

Survivors include his daughter, Galina Graham of Brookport; brothers Jim (Shirley) Fox of Alto Pass, Clyde (Elgie) Fox of Anna and Rick (Suzanne) Fox of Vienna; sisters Kathy (Doug) Severs of Ullin and Yvonne (Marshall) Ramage of Dongola; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and by two sisters, Virginia Anglin and Dorothy Prater. 

Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, at Friendship Cemetery in Dongola, with the Rev. Terry Kern officiating. 

Memorial contributions can be made to the family.

Rev. Fox touched the lives of many.
