Richard Patrick Brewer

Richard Patrick Brewer, 67, of Makanda, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022, in Makanda. 

He was born on Oct. 6, 1954, in Anna, the son of Richard Lee and Barbara Ellen Wright Brewer.

He is survived by two brothers, Michael (Grace) Brewer and Danny Brewer, both of Makanda; nieces and nephews Michelle (Bill) Batula, Becky Baggett, Kimberly (Chris) Tyra, Kenneth Brewer and Kay (James) Morrow; great-nieces and nephews Cheyenne, Joshua, Jacob, Joseph, Sara, Jace, Oliver, Vincent and Lucas; and two aunts, Lois Goodnight and Ethel Barnett. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and by two sisters, Vickie Baggett and Candi Clover.

Mr. Brewer was a retired union laborer. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting and arrowhead hunting.

Graveside funeral services for Richard Brewer were at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, at Evergreen Cemetery in Makanda, with the Rev. Richard Bittle officiating.  Interment followed.
