Roger Dale Cook
Roger Dale Cook, 71, of Anna, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
He was born on Jan. 23, 1953, in Union County, the son of Lawrence W. and Juanita J. Noble Cook.
He married Dena Inman on July 24, 1976, in Fredericktown, Mo.
He is survived by his wife, Dena Cook of Anna; daughter Melissa Graham of Jackson, Mo.; son BJ Cook of Anna; grandchildren Aniyah Graham, Gracie and Bella Cook and Zoe Hochstetler; brother Larry (Linda) Cook of Dongola; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Betty Allen, Wilma Lacy and Mike Cook; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Norma Graham.
Mr. Cook attended the First Baptist Church in Cobden. He was a member of Dongola Masonic Lodge No. 581 and the Anna Oasis Shrine Club for over 30 years.
He was a loving family man and great friend. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and wood carving. He was a character, always giving special nicknames to those he loved.
Masonic funeral rites for Roger Cook were held at noon Saturday, Nov. 23, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
Funeral services with the Rev. Dr. Ed Falgout officiating immediately followed the Masonic rites.
Memorials can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
