Roger Wayne Coleman

Roger Wayne Coleman, 71, of Cobden, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born on March 7, 1945, in Lincolnton, N.C., the son of Curtis Eugene Jr. and Ida Belle Floyd Coleman.

He was raised by his loving paternal grandmother, Emma Coleman.

He is survived by his son, Matthew Coleman of Cobden; a daughter, Valerie Christine Coleman of Pacolet, S.C.; two grandchildren, Cierra (Brandon) Pettit and Tiffany Sullivan; two great-grandchildren, Dannika Pettit and Rosemary Castellanos; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Shane Coleman; his paternal grandmother, Emma Coleman; and one brother, Brian Coleman.

He worked as an electrician for many years before retirement.

Services for Mr. Coleman will be held privately for his family.
