Roy Lee "Pops" Ferguson

Roy Lee “Pops” Ferguson, 60, of Anna, died at 4:20 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born on March 17, 1958, in Anna, the son of Glenn and Genevive Davis Ferguson.

He was a grain bin builder. He loved listening to music and spending time with his grandchildren and family.

He is survived by his children, Jamie (Glenn) Prater of Anna, Jennifer (Michael) Garret of Cobden, Emily (Mike) Ferguson of Jonesboro and Nara Ferguson of Anna; grandchildren Blakeley Bryan, Caydence Ferguson, Cayleigh Ferguson, Chris Raines, Jarred Raines, Myles Raines, Daisy Prater and Tobin Prater; sisters Patsy Dale of Jonesboro and Violet Turner of Anna; brothers Loren (Pam) Ferguson of Dongola and Jeri Harris of Anna; many adopted kids, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Genevive Ferguson; by two brothers, Dean Ferguson and Rodney Ferguson; and by a sister, Glenda Hutchison.

A memorial gathering was held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro, with sharing of memories by family and friends at 8 p.m. Cremation followed.

Inurnment will take place at a later date at McGinnis Cemetery.
