Sharon S. Hott

Sharon S. Hott, 77, died Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield.

She was born on May 19, 1945, in Jonesboro, the daughter of Ralph and Gladys Frick Brown. 

She married Robert Hott Jr. in Springfield, on Feb. 18, 1967. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents, Ralph and Gladys Brown; her step-mother, Rosetta Brown; and a stepsister, Carol Martin.

She was formerly employed by AIG (formerly Franklin Life) and Macy’s (formerly Famous Barr). She was a member of West Side Christian Church and volunteered at St. John’s Hospital. She was an avid shopper, especially enjoying antiquing. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and tending to her flowers.

She is survived by her children, Amy (Micah) Roderick, Andrew Hott and Adam (Kerstin) Hott; a brother, Gerald (Betty) Brown; a step-brother, Lowell (Dorothy) Mainer; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at noon Friday, April 28, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home in Springfield, with Cindy Lash officiating. Burial followed at Roselawn Memorial Park in Springfield.
