Sheila J. Swinburne

Sheila J. Swinburne was born on Feb. 25, 1934, to Juanita and Murray Hunter in Mill Creek, Ill. She passed away peacefully on Feb. 12, 2026, in Marion, Ill.

Sheila is survived by her daughter, Jane Malick, and her sons, Erik and Andre of Louisiana. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Cauble, and her best friend, Donna Dameron, both from Marion and many nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, lifetime step-father Marvin Kerr, sister Shellby Sims, and her faithful companion Bill Lager.

A family service was held  on Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. with Rev. LaRue Parr officiating at Crain Funeral Home in Anna, Ill.

A private burial will be held at St. John’s Cemetery in Dongola, Ill.

Crain Funeral Home in Anna, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
