Sue Rendleman
Sue Rendleman, 83, of Anna, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born on Dec. 13, 1940, in Ware, the daughter of James Elbert and Gladys Irene Eudy Shelton.
She married the love of her life, Stewart Leon Rendleman, on Jan. 8, 1963, at the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Leon Rendleman of Anna; son Stuart and wife Amy Rendleman of Anna; daughter Becky (Chris) Finley of Navarre, Fla.; grandchildren Grace and husband Logan Rich of Jonesboro, Keri and husband Jayden Moore of Buncombe, Garrett (Jacqueline) Barringer of Buncombe, Eli Barringer (Clair Lamb) of Lick Creek, Brenley Barringer (Zack Smith) of Goreville and Ashley Barringer (Austin Adams) of Villa Ridge; great-grandchildren Bayler Smith of Goreville and Jolee Adams of Villa Ridge; step-grandchildren Tanner Tidwell, Jack and Maddox Finley; sisters Kay DeFossett of Anna and Linda Banks of Herod; nieces and nephews; other family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; twin granddaughters Baylee and Sibyl Rendleman; a sister, Joyce Duncan; brothers-in-law David Banks, Clarence Duncan, Jesse Tutt and Lewis Rendleman.
She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro for many years. She was a woman of strong faith and loved Jesus.
She owned and operated the Doll House Beauty Salon in Jonesboro for over 40 years.
Sue and Leon loved vacationing and traveling across the country on their Gold Wing. They rode through every state except Alaska, covering over one hundred thousand miles together over the years.
Sue’s family was the most important part of her life; they all brought her joy and she adored the time they spent together. She will be dearly missed and her memories will live forever in the hearts of those lives she touched.
Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, at the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro, with the Rev. Perry Williams officiating. Interment was in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to Residential Hospice, the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
