Terry Gene Whiteside

Terry Gene Whiteside, age 68, of Wolf Lake, passed away, April 11, 2026. 

He was born June 20, 1957 in Marion, the son of Louis and Marilyn (Rainbolt) Whiteside. Terry married his love of twenty-nine years, Peggy (Heisner) Ledbetter on June 18, 2022.

Terry is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Whiteside of Wolf Lake; children, Tammy (Kenny) Donoho, Angela (Rafael) Mejia, and Larry Ledbetter; thirteen grandchildren, Courtney (Neal) Giltner, Ashley (Aaron) Owens, Allen (Hailey) Donoho, David Cardenas, Madison Root, Abby Donoho, Alex Vertiz, Jasmine Garcia-Ledbetter, Darrel Houston Jr, Bree and Breya Sanders, Mya Gardener; fourteen  great-grandchildren, siblings, Gary (Alice) Whiteside, Nina (Wayne) Weston-Hodge, and Maryellen Schlamer; sisters in law, Tammy Whiteside and Pauline Whiteside; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Brittany Vonnida; granddaughter, Summer Donoho; brothers, Tommy, Jimmy, and Bobby Whiteside; brothers in law, Gary Weston and Sam Schlamer.

Terry was retired from the State of Illinois where he worked for over twenty-eight years as a Correctional Officer. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan. Terry left a special place in the hearts of so many; he will be deeply missed.

Visitation services were held Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
