Winifred Marcella Dillow

Winifred Marcella Dillow, 88, of Carbondale, died Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at The Landing in Carbondale.

She was born on Nov. 25, 1935, in Carbondale, the daughter of Mark and Winifred Cerny Dillow.

She worked at GTE and retired from SIU Housing.  She was an active member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Carbondale.

Survivors include her brother, James Dillow; and long-time friend Kim Kalaher.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers Williford Dillow, Don Dillow, Louis C. Dillow, Bernard Alan Dillow and Wallace Dillow.

Graveside services were at 1 p.m. Friday, May 17, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Cobden, with Father Uriel Salamanca officiating.

Memorials can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
