Personnel matters highlight A-J Board agenda
Personnel matters were among the highlights at a June 8 regular meeting of the Anna-Jonesboro Community High School District 81 Board of Education.
The oath of office was administered to newly appointed board member Lisa Boget.
The District 81 Board employed Robbie Wright as head boys’ basketball coach for the 2009-2010 season.
George Lenon was employed as girls’ head basketball coach for next season.
Mike Eudy, David Sullivan and Brian McAllister were employed as assistant football coaches for the 2009-2010 season.
Rick Bittle was employed as head wrestling coach for next year.
The board employed Beth Miller as assistant volleyball coach.
The board recognized nine volunteer coaches: Bruce Bell, Jill Bell and Howard Harris for swimming; Jenny Sadler and Lindsey Schmieg for volleyball; Jake Alley, Jacob Alley, Adam Smithey and Doug Greenwood for football.
In other business at the meeting:
The board extended the contract of administrators Brett Detering and Scott Finders for one year each.
The 2009-2010 student/parent/athletic handbook was approved.
