Pulling together

To the editor,

I would like to thank you for the excellent front page coverage of the Illinois Veterans Home in Anna, along with the sincere editorial.

Printing of the three letters from local residents containing their concern of the future of our veterans in the Anna facility in the same issue brought the needed attention to the readers in our community.

The petitions are still circulating to show support for the veterans home and the much needed 50-bed expansion.

If we all continue to pull together we can show that we in Southern Illinois will not be silent for we intend to be heard.
