Santa Cop program planned in Union County
The Union County Sheriff’s Office and Union County 911 are working on plans for the fourth annual Santa Cop program.
Santa Cop helps underprivileged children in Union County schools at Christmas time.
Children are selected based on financial need, good performance in school work and for having no negative contact with local law enforcement agencies.
Presents will be bought by the Union County Sheriff’s Office and given to selected recipients at a Christmas party. The party will be hosted by the sheriff’s office and the 911 office.
Donations are being accepted for the program, and organizers expect the need to be even greater this year.
An account for the program has been set up at Anna State Bank in Anna.
