Senior Circle members journey to San Antonio

Twenty-seven members from the Union County Hospital Senior Circle chapter recently returned from a seven-day trip to San Antonio, Texas.

Members did lots of sightseeing and shopping. The trip also included food and entertainment.

They visited many historic sites, including the Alamo, the San Jose Mission, the German influenced King William District and the San Fernando Cathedral.

The group also experienced the Institute of Texan Cultures, the National Museum of the Pacific War and free time in Fredericksburg in the Texas Hill Country.

An evening cruise along the famous San Antonio River Walk was a favorite of many of those on the trip.

Another highlight was the tour of the Lyndon B. Johnson ranch and home in Stonewall.

On the return trip home, the group toured the Sixth Floor Museum in the book depository in Dallas and the site where the Kennedy assassination had taken place.  They also had lunch on Beale Street in Memphis, Tenn.
