Shawnee adult education program classes planned

<p class="p1">Shawnee Community College is planning to offer a variety of adult education programs, starting in January.</p><p class="p1">The schedule includes GED classes, a transition to health careers class and a basic computer skills for adults class.</p><p class="p1"><strong>GED Classes</strong></p><p class="p1">Free GED classes are scheduled to start Jan. 12 and Jan. 14.</p><p class="p1">Class locations include Anna and Cobden and the college's main campus near Ullin.</p><p class="p1">Here's a look at the schedule for GED classes:</p><p class="p1">Shawnee Community College extension center, Anna: Tuesday and Thursday, 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.; or Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.</p><p class="p1">Technology Learning Center, Cobden: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.</p><p class="p1">Shawnee Community College, main campus near Ullin, room J2050: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.</p><p class="p1">Registration for the computer GED test is available online at gedtestingservice.com. Registration for a paper/pen exam is available online at HISet.ets.org.</p><p class="p1"><strong>Transition to Health Careers</strong></p><p class="p1">A free transition to health careers class is scheduled to start Jan. 12.</p><p class="p1">Classes are planned from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in room J2050 on the college's main campus.</p><p class="p1"><strong>Basic Computer Skills for Adults</strong></p><p class="p1">A free basic computer skills for adults class is planned at the college's extension center in Anna.  Classes are scheduled to start Monday, Jan. 11, and Wednesday, Jan. 13.</p><p class="p1">A morning class is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon.
