Former Albion resident Shirley Jean (Bunting) Libke, 75, died peacefully Oct. 31, 2010, at 12 noon at Rehab and Care Center in Murphysboro.

Mrs. Libke was born June 27, 1935, in Ellery, to Della and Lyman Bunting.

She was active in the community and devoted her time and energy as a caregiver and volunteer.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Louie of Alto Pass; daughters Lynne (Peter) Janitch of Ramsey, Minn., and Lori Smith of Carbondale; son Dan (Carolyn) of Palos Verdes, Calif.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She is happily reunited in Heaven with her daughter Nancy Wolf and her brother Kemp Bunting.

A memorial service was held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Crain Pleasant Grove-Murdale Funeral home on Old Route 13 between Carbondale and Murphysboro with Pastor Joshua Swain officiating.
