Some final thoughts. . .
Summer has regrettably come to an end. Soon, I’ll be traveling back to finish my senior year at the College of the Ozarks near Branson, Mo.
These past few months have been memorable. As many of you know I am an intern working to complete my training as a journalist and graphic designer.
I’ve enjoyed this summer immensely, and I can’t say how much I appreciate the cooperation of all the wonderful people I’ve met.
This is my second summer working for The Gazette-Democrat, and I absolutely love it.
I see the hard work of so many in this small community. I see you reaching out to kids, training, teaching, and providing many opportunities. I thank you.
I attended many events like the FCA Power Camp, a youth cooking program, various Vacation Bible Schools, summer reading programs, and the Dove Real Beauty Workshop. These are all admirable and inspiring.
Thank you to all those who have worked with the younger generation and continue to do so; thanks for implementing character, and providing a fine example.
We’re not big city folks, but we hold our own and we do our part. So I’m proud to say I’m from Union County.
